To be eligible, you must be purchasing the asset under a registered ABN (as a Sole Trader, Partnership, Company, or Trust), and the asset must be used predominantly (more than 50%) for business purposes.
Commercial loans can be used to finance assets like:

- Commercial vehicles
- Yellow goods, or specialised equipment.
Additionally unsecured commercial loans can support cash flow, inventory purchases, or business expansion.

This may be enough for a low-doc loan. A full-doc will require additional information that varies by application.
The amount you can borrow depends on the lender’s policies, your creditworthiness, and the specific needs of your business. It generally starts at $5,000 up to $500,000 for an SME, but potentially higher depending on your business needs and cash flow.
As part of your initial consultation we will do a “soft credit check”. This does not affect your credit score and will not show as an inquiry on your credit file.
Once we submit your application to a lender they will always complete a full credit check as part of your loan assessment. This will show up as an inquiry.
The main difference is ownership. With a Chattel Mortgage, you own the asset from day one. With a Finance Lease or Operating Lease, the lender owns the asset, and you essentially rent it from them. Most businesses prefer Chattel Mortgages for the upfront GST claim.
Not always. We specialise in low-doc Chattel Mortgages. If you have been trading for a while, have a clean credit file, and are property-backed (a homeowner), we can often secure finance up to $150,000 (and sometimes much higher) without seeing any financial statements.
